프레드릭 코플스턴 (지은이)
말보로(Marlborough) 대학과 옥스퍼드 대학교의 성 요한 대학(St. John’s College)을 졸업하고, 1929년 로마에 있는 교황청 직속 신학교 그레고리오(Gregorian) 대학교에서 철학박사 학위를 받았다. 1925년 그리스도교에 입문하여, 1930년 예수회 회원이 되었고, 1937년 신부 서품을 받았다. 1939년부터 1969년까지 런던 대학교 철학과 교수로 재직했으며, 1970년에서 1974년까지 헤이드롭(Heythrop)대학교의 학장을 지내고, 런던 대학교의 명예교수로 있다가 1994년 2월 영국 런던에서 별세했다. 그의 주요 저서는 다음과 같다.

이남원 (옮긴이)
경북대학교에서 1988년 『칸트의 선험적 논증』으로 박사학위를 받았다. 현재 부산대학교 사범대학 윤리교육과 명예교수다. 칸트의 『실용적 관점에서 본 인간학』, 『칸트의 형이상학 강의』와 찰리 브로드가 쓴 『칸트철학의 분석적 이해』를 옮겼다.
